Enterprise Solutions

In today's highly competitive environment, businesses are compelled to strive for highly aggressive business goals. To achieve each goal, a strategy needs to be created consisting of strategic initiatives, which are then put through a business case process to identify costs, benefits, alignment with business goals, constraints, opportunities and risks. This results in a portfolio of ranked projects which is mapped against a capital budget.

Projects are selected for execution based upon their ranking and available budgets. Each project typically involves the following elements :

  • Technology - such as the implementation of additional business functionality in an IT system. An example of this is the implementation of an ERP module or a custom web-based application.

  • Process - whenever new technologies are implemented, the business processes around these technologies need to be re-engineered and optimized. Failure to do so would result in poor utilization of the new technology.

  • Organization - typically organizations are designed around information flows. New technologies and processes often result in changed information flows which may necessitate a different organization structure.

  • People - new organizations inherently require staff to be re-trained and re-assigned. Significant human and industrial relations issues may be involved here. Without resolving these it may be impossible to achieve the benefits identified in the Business Case.

Xcela consultants have expertise in the following practice areas :

  • IT Strategy
  • IT Infrastructure and Development - Mainframe and Client Server
  • Supply Chain
  • Demand Chain
  • Business Analytics
  • Custom Application Development (Web, eCommerce, Legacy, Client-Server)
  • Telecom and Call Centre
  • Outsourcing

IT Resource Management

Today's technical environment is characterized by constant waves of new technology making it difficult for clients to meet their needs for skilled staff by relying exclusively on internal candidates. This coupled with restricted training budgets, one-time short-term requirements of specific skills and demands to minimize fixed staff costs imposes an imperative of sourcing skilled resources from the outside. Recognizing this need, Xcela has established a full-fledged IT Resource Management capability to identify and provide these resources.

Candidates are selected for client engagements after a rigorous process, which involves the following elements :

  • Client Requirements - such as the skills requirements, skill-level, responsibility-level, duration of engagement, etc.

  • Research - a thorough search of the candidate database is carried out and suitable candidates are extracted and their availability checked. If candidates are not available locally, they can be sourced from other locations including international.

  • Screening - candidates are invited for an interview, their suitability is verified and appropriate background checks are completed.

  • Presentation - candidates are presented to the client for selection. Upon selection, appropriate contracting and initiation procedures are completed.

  • Follow-up - From the very first day of the assignment, Xcela remains in close contact with the client to ensure complete client satisfaction in the delivery of services as well as administrative matters such as security, billing, extensions, etc.

Xcela has an extensive roster of candidates for the following positions at all levels of an organization:

  • Project Managers, Project Leaders
  • Solution Architects, Technical Architects
  • Systems Analysts, Business Analysts, Process Analysts
  • Technical Developers and Testers
  • Database Designers and Administrators

Business Process Outsourcing

In today’s business world, the imperatives of “Shareholder Value” are forcing Corporations to separate core and non-core functions. The prevailing business wisdom suggests that corporations should focus on core-competencies while shedding all non-core functions, in order to maximize Capital Efficiency. Outsourcing has become practical response to this trend. Since, non-core functions typically consist of repetitive well-established clerical tasks, Outsourcing to an off-shore location offers the additional benefit of dramatic cost-savings in addition to freeing up capital and lowering fixed costs. With the arrival of cheap, globally reliable telecom networks and the spread of English as the universal language of business, the barriers to providing these services from distant locales have disappeared.

Recognizing this trend, Xcela has established a full-fledged Business Process Outsourcing capability to offer a variety of services :

  • Call Centre Services, in
    • Inbound Voice Support
    • Technical Helpdesk
    • Customer Helpdesk
    • Outbound Voice Campaigns
